Andre van Oudheusden is the principle design partner of Atelier AVO which he founded in 2007. Born and educated in the Netherlands, he has been a resident in England for 20 years where he has gained his work experience.
Andre studied at Delft University of Technology were he obtained his Master degree in Architecture and in Building technique under the tutorship of Herman Hertzberger and Arie Krijgsman.
Andre had been a mentor during his study period at Delft University of Technology.
He is a registered architect in the United Kingdom and in the Netherlands
Andre has built on his professional experience by taking a team leader position with architectural firms like HOK, KPF and as a senior designer position with SOM in London who all set themselves high standards in Design, Management and Technique. The work experience stretches from national to international projects which have obtained numerous awards.
The experience gained over the years varies over different typologies such as offices and headquarters, mixed use, residential, transportation, broadcasting, healthcare and urban design. A high level of design experience in high rise buildings and environmental design was developed during many of these projects.
