Outline

The Charrington’s Wharf project represents a significant architectural endeavor that aims to integrate a formerly disconnected segment of the city into a thriving, cohesive urban fabric. By meticulously arranging buildings, streets, and open spaces, the development not only recalls the area’s historical context but also strengthens the physical and visual connectivity within the neighborhood and towards the broader community of Tower Hamlets.

The design facilitates pedestrian movement and views through to the river, enhancing both the practicality and aesthetic appeal of the site. The project leverages existing roads like Baffin Way and Yabsley Street, linking them into a broader, green urban square that serves as both a node and a gateway, thereby weaving the new development into the existing urban tapestry.

The architectural composition of Charrington’s Wharf further manifests in the design and strategic placement of private and affordable housing along Blackwall Way, emphasizing dynamic visual corridors and green spaces.
